St. John School provides a traditional Catholic education in a safe and nurturing
Christ-centered atmosphere through its spiritual, academic, extracurricular and outreach programs for grades pre-kindergarten through eight.
St. John School is fully accredited by the New England Association of School and Colleges, and approved by the State of Connecticut.
Saint John School was the only one of its kind, a kindergarten through eighth grade parochial school, to open in the entire country in 1994. ( see “An Old-Fashioned Catholic School Finds New Success” NY Times by Bill Ryan 04/14/96”)
Since 2001, two boys from St. John School have won the full-tuition award and five have won the partial scholarships. Brother William, Xavier's headmaster, notes, "That is really a great number of students. We are very pleased to have boys from St. John School."
